[FAQ_PAGE_HEADLINE] Frequently Asked Questions
[FAQ_PAGE_SUBHEAD] - Everything you need to know about boarding your giant.
[FAQ_CATEGORY_1] General Questions
What size dogs do you accept? [CHEVRON]
We exclusively serve dogs 90 lbs and over. This includes giant breeds like Great Danes, Mastiffs, Saint Bernards, Newfoundlands, Irish Wolfhounds, Great Pyrenees, and more. We also welcome giant-breed mixes and oversized individuals of typically smaller breeds.
Why do you only accept giant breeds? [CHEVRON]
Giant breeds have unique needs that most boarding facilities aren't equipped to handle. They need larger spaces, different flooring, specialized health monitoring (like GDV prevention), and staff who understand their quirks. By focusing exclusively on giants, we can optimize every aspect of our facility and care protocols.
What's your service area? [CHEVRON]
We serve the greater Seattle Metro Area area. Most of our clients are within 45 minutes of our facility. We may offer pickup/dropoff services for an additional fee—ask about availability in your area.
How far in advance should I book? [CHEVRON]
We recommend booking 2-4 weeks in advance for regular stays. For holidays and peak seasons (summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas), book as early as possible—we often fill up 6-8 weeks ahead. Join our priority list to get early access to availability.
[FAQ_CATEGORY_2] Health & Safety
What if my dog is older or has joint issues? [CHEVRON]
Our facility is built with ramps, non-slip floors, and orthopedic bedding — so dogs of all ages are comfortable here. If your dog has specific needs, we'll work out the details during intake.
How do you handle bloat/GDV risk? [CHEVRON]
GDV prevention is a top priority. We follow strict protocols: elevated feeding stations, enforced 60-90 minute rest periods after meals, monitored mealtimes, and staff trained to recognize early warning signs. We have emergency vet contacts pre-established and can transport immediately if needed.
Can you administer medications? [CHEVRON]
Yes. We handle oral and topical medications on schedule and follow your vet's instructions. Just let us know what your dog needs during intake.
What vaccinations are required? [CHEVRON]
Required: Rabies (current), DHPP/DAPP (within 1 year), Bordetella (within 6 months). Strongly recommended: Canine Influenza (H3N2/H3N8). Records must be provided before the first stay. We can contact your vet directly if easier.
Is there 24/7 supervision? [CHEVRON]
Yes. We have staff on-site around the clock. Someone is always present to monitor the dogs, handle any issues, and respond to emergencies.
[FAQ_CATEGORY_3] Temperament & Socialization
What about dogs who are reactive or dog-selective? [CHEVRON]
We offer 1:1 outdoor options and can accommodate dogs who prefer solo time. Our low-density environment and separate outdoor areas mean less stress for everyone. We'll discuss your dog's needs during intake.
Do you accept intact (not spayed/neutered) dogs? [CHEVRON]
We can accommodate intact dogs on a case-by-case basis. They'll be housed and exercised separately from other dogs to prevent any issues. Let us know during booking.
How do you group dogs for playtime? [CHEVRON]
We keep group sizes very small (2-4 dogs max) and match based on temperament, play style, and energy level—not just size. Many of our guests prefer solo outdoor time, which we accommodate without issue.
